Lila Moore

Lila Marintha Atkinson Moore, 92, of Rexburg, died April 2, 2012 of causes incident to age.

She was born September 28, 1919, to William Elmer and Marintha Althere Morris Atkinson in Teton, Idaho. She attended Rexburg schools. The youngest of 12 children, she was the last surviving sibling.

She married William Craig Moore in the Logan LDS Temple on October 10, 1939. She and Craig owned and operated a farm east of Rexburg for more than 50 years. She always stood by Craig’s side to help and assist him in all his endeavors.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She served as ward Primary President, Young Women’s President, and Stake Primary President, a calling she dearly loved. She was a great leader. One of the greatest events in her life was the building of the Rexburg, Idaho temple. She was able to attend the open house several times, as well as the temple dedication. She was thrilled when President Monson stopped to greet and shake hands with her.

She loved her family.

She is survived by her son Merrill Craig Moore, his wife Darlene and their children, Jacqulin (Carlos) Clavijo, Nicholas (Brandi) Moore, and Kaley (Jeremy) Carling; her daughter Kathryn Moore Clune, her husband Jere, and their children, Adrianne (Rhett) Glauser, Matthew (Kelly), Craig, Christopher (Morgan), Sean (Eden) and Marc. She has four great-granddaughters, Kathryn, Brooklyn, Campbell and Hadley Glauser, and a great-grandson Ian Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, at the Rexburg LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 166 South 1st East. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park in Idaho Falls.

The family would like to give their deepest appreciation to the many people who have given their love and service to Lila for so many years.
