Agnes Martha Goe, 83 of Rexburg, Idaho, died October 5, 2009 in Rexburg. She was born July 21,1926 at Boston, Massachusetts to Elmer Ellsworth Gross and Regina Imelda Gross. She married Eugene Alma Goe June 28,1953 at Oxnard, California. She was a loving wife of a 20 year Navy veteran and supported her husband throughout multiple assignments and deployments across the United States and overseas. Agnes attended LDS services while living in Rexburg and was a resident at the Rexburg Nursing Center. She was a long time resident of Oxnard, California where she worked for the school system as the head cook for a middle school. Agnes loved to cross-stitched and embroidered pillow cases for many friends and family in her later years. Earlier hobbies included knitting and making doll cakes for parties, camping and bowing. She was the wii bowling champion at the Rexburg Nursing Center shortly before her passing.
She is survived by her children, Ernest Goe of Norfolk, VA; Anthony and Carol Goe of Victor, ID; Mary and Chuck Penticoff of Fort Myers, FL; and Judith Fox of Oxnard, CA; Sisters, Jean Tipton of Oxnard, CA; Dorothy Cox of Bakersfield, CA; and Grace Davis of Albany, IN; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband who died in 1995; her parents; brothers, John Gross; William Gross; Bob Gross; sisters, Gertrude Floyd and Teresa Cox.
Graveside services will be Thursday, October 15, 2009 at noon in the Conejo Park Cemetery in Oxnard, CA. The family will receive friends October 15, after the burial. Condolences may be sent on line to the family at www.flammfh.com.
