Our family has lost our hero. He just needed to go to a simpler place. He took care of us in this world and he will take care of us from the next. His journey on this earth was an amazing one! We are so fortunate that our paths crossed. He touched so many lives with his love, his sense of humor, and of course his "Alexisms", as they were rightly named. He was a fierce protector of his family, a loyal friend and confidant, and a law enforcement officer to the core. He left an indelible mark on so many lives that will not ever be forgotten. He will go through his new journey, as he did here: with love, respect, dedication, and of course, humor.

Please think of him often and remember a funny story, a special nickname, or an "Alexism"; let it put a smile on your face just as he did when he was here with us.  Remember him and cherish the moment you are in.
