IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice
Burum
August 6, 1943 – September 10, 2025
Alice Burum, aged 82, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Rexburg, Idaho, with her daughter, Tricia, and best friend, Diane, by her side. She was born August 6, 1943, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Wilford and Helen Kenny Bosley. She was the youngest of seven children to join their family. She grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, and had a wonderful childhood full of music, dancing, family fun at the cabin, ice skating, and days in the park. As a child, she was known as "Sweet Alice".
Alice was raised in the Catholic faith and gained a knowledge of Jesus Christ. Her father-in-law, Clyde Burum, introduced her to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which gave her great comfort that families can be together forever. Alice faithfully lived the gospel and had a deep love for her Savior.
Her greatest achievement was having and raising her two girls, Tricia and Wendy. Alice devoted her life to her family, her friends, and her community. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and her generous spirit — always ready with a listening ear and a helping hand. She was known throughout her life as an extremely hard worker and passed that on to her children. Her presence brought light to many; she took pleasure in simple joys like walking, Suduko, and the Hallmark channel, and she had a special ability to make others feel welcomed and loved.
She is survived by her daughters Tricia Gallup (David) and Wendy Dahle (Allan), daughter-in-law Joanie Burum, her sister Mary, eleven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Robert Burum, James Burum, and Loren Jensen, and five siblings (Joe, Margaret, Dorothy, Richard, and Jim) and parents (Wilford and Helen).
Special thanks to Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg for all their loving care of Alice for the last six years. Alice loved all the caretakers, friends, and fun at the Homestead. Alice was known for her friendliness, love of music, dancing, walking, riding her trike bike, and running up and down the halls at Homestead.
Visitation and memorial services will be held in Rexburg at Flamm Funeral Home on Saturday, September 13th, at 9:00 am, with the service at 10:00 am.
Alice's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her — for her laughter and the strength she showed in every season of her life.
