Alison Patterson

May 31, 1961 — Aug 4, 2026

Rexburg

Alison Beth Patterson, 65, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Rexburg, Idaho, after a long illness.

She was born May 31, 1961, in Boulder, Colorado, the only child of Robert Dean Webber and Carol Anne Webber (Russell). As a teenager she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a decision she made largely on her own and kept for the rest of her life. She later came to Rexburg to attend Ricks College — the same town where, more than forty years on, her life would close.

On March 10, 1984, she married Kenneth Richard Patterson in Las Vegas, Nevada. One year later to the day, on March 10, 1985, they were sealed in the Portland Oregon Temple.

Ken served in the United States Marine Corps from 1981 until his medical retirement in 1989, and Alison served alongside him. Of all the titles she held, Marine wife was the one she loved best — second only to Mom. After several years in Oregon, the family moved to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to be near the Corps, and Alison made their home the place young Marines came to. She collected them over the years. A good number of them called her Mom, and meant it. She was proud to serve as the young adult representative in her ward, a calling that suited her exactly.

She was also a businesswoman. Her gift shop ventures — All About Crystal and USMC Cake Tops among them — grew out of her own hands and her own nerve. Her pride and joy was All About Names, which she ran the longest and built out from a single mall cart into locations across eastern North Carolina, plus fairs and craft shows besides.

Alison was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Carol Webber, and by her son, Andrew Patterson, who died May 7, 2017.

She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Kenneth; her son Nicholas and his wife Elizabeth; her daughter-in-law Kaitlyn; her grandchildren Eleanor, Jack, Jacob, and Joseph; and her grandchildren Josef, Charlotte, Caspian, Vivian, Serena, and Olson, whom she claimed as her own.

Alison has been cremated. Services honoring her life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, Idaho, at 11:00 am. The service will be broadcast link below on the Flamm Funeral Home website.
