Allen Furniss Parkinson, age 57, entered into eternal life on March 30, 2022.
Allen was born in Rexburg, ID on December 08, 1964. He graduated from Madison High School, class of 1983. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S.M.C. and proudly served in Operation Desert Storm as a Field Radio Operator. He received a Marksmanship Rifle Badge, National Defence Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, 2 Letters of Appreciation, and a Meritorious Mast. Allen was honorably discharged at the end of his Tour of Duty.
After leaving the military he worked various jobs in the Southeast Idaho area. He always enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, and long scenic drives, especially with his nieces and nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents Don and Melba Parkinson.
The family will be having a gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of Allen, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. It will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 262 N 2nd W in Rexburg on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10 AM. Following the service, the interment will be at the Teton/Newdale Cemetery with a military salute.
