Alta Mae Moss, 91, of Rexburg, peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the home of her care giver. Her family was by her side.
She was born July 23, 1921, in Montevideo, Minnesota to Albert and Orleanna Hendrickson. She was the youngest of five siblings.
She married Dr. H. Cleon Moss on June 23, 1944 in Gainesville, Florida where both were serving in the Army during World War II. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. After World War II, they returned to Driggs, Idaho where Cleon practiced dentistry. During their married life they lived in California, Colorado, Alaska and then retired in Rexburg.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After retirement she and Cleon served a mission in the England Manchester Mission. She served in many church positions, including serving in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She is preceded in death by her eternal companion, Cleon; her parents and her siblings.
She is survived by her children, Diana (Keith) Bowen of Cypress, California, Eric Moss of Idaho Falls, Craig (Maurine) Moss of Eagle, Idaho, Alan Moss of Rexburg. She was proud of, and enjoyed, her 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29 at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, with Bishop David Reeser of the Rexburg 6th Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
