Alta Elizabeth Stewart, 76, of Rexburg, died Monday, December 2, 2015 at Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation in Idaho Falls.

She was born October 27, 1939 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Andrew Emanuel Stewart and Alta Fern Romell Stewart.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to the Northern States Mission from 1961 to 1962.

She spent around 30 years working for the city of Idaho Falls as a Secretary and Clerk.

She enjoyed doing genealogy, scrap booking and traveling.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Stewart (wife of Orvil) and Janet Stewart (wife of Boyd).

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Boyd and Orvil Stewart.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 7th at Flamm Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
