Andrew James Edie, 27 of Rexburg, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born May 24,1989, at Sandy, Utah to Shirleen Mina Klingler and Randle Dean Edie and he had four excited brothers waiting at home for him. He grew to be a caring child and young man, always complimenting his mother and made her feel great. They spent many years together and were very close. Andrew and his dad were also very close when Andrew was young and they spent a lot of time together. Those who were around Andrew and got to know him, loved him and thought highly of him. He had good friends throughout his life and during the last few years he had some great caregivers who were also incredible friends.
Andrew went to school in Las Vegas, Nevada, Rexburg, Idaho Falls and he graduated from Hillcrest High School in Ammon. He did some amazing things throughout the years; one he enjoyed the most was staying at "Give Kids the World" on a trip to Florida provided by Make a Wish Foundation.
Andrew enjoyed music, video games, computers, reading and television, especially movies and playing board games, and being with his friends. His favorite thing was probably Harry Potter. Andrew was an incredible person and an inspiration to many people. He will be missed very much. Andrew, we love you.
Andrew is survived his mother and stepfather; Shirleen Mina Larsen and Sean Tuttle, his father and stepmother; Randle Dean and Joyce Edie, brothers; Blake Randle Edie, Eric Nicholas Edie, Adam Godfrey Edie, a nephew; Keegan Edie, Grandmother; Shirley Klingler Johnson, Grandfather and step grandmother; Dean and Donna Edie.
He was preceded in death by a brother; Jason Dean Edie, Grandfather; Clayne Godfrey Klingler, Grandmother; Marion Irene Edie, Step-Grandfather; Gene Johnson, and cousins; Chris, Ben, Layel and Becky Clark and Brock Squires.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Rexburg North Stake Center, 314 East 2nd North, with Bishop Brian Memmott officiating. The family will receive friends at the stake center from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Burton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to help with funeral expenses.
