Obituary

Anne B. Thueson, wife of Clair Thueson, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024. She was surrounded in love by her husband and children at the time of her passing.

She was born to George and Verna  Byram on May 10, 1941 and was raised in Ucon, Idaho. Her childhood years were shaped by her home life on the farm and the hard work and loving care of her parents and siblings.

The oldest of three siblings and only girl, Anne was the beloved daughter and sister in her family. She enjoyed music and was a talented pianist and organist. She enjoyed a simple tease and a loving practical joke, something her grandchildren especially came to know and appreciate.

She was educated at Ricks College and Utah State University and although she attended and supported countless Ricks College/BYU-Idaho and BYU events, she was always endeared to her Utah State Aggies.

On July 10, 1964, Anne and Clair were married in the Idaho Falls Temple.

All her life she said her greatest joys were found in being a mother to her seven children, Robert (deceased at birth), Michael, Lori, Rhonda, Vicki, Bryce, and Ryan.  All seven children arriving within the first ten years of their marriage. She joyfully devoted herself to building their faith and taking care of their needs.

The abundant joy of raising her children was greatly magnified by the arrival of 28 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren and the family looks forward to her helping send the next seven in the coming weeks/months.

She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and exemplified her love over the years through dedicated, charitable service as a friend, neighbor, ministering sister/visiting teacher, relief society president, ward organist, senior missionary (Temple Square, Salt Lake City), and temple matron (Rexburg Idaho).

She recognized the blessings of living the covenant path. As the temple matron and matriarch of her family, she regularly emphasized the importance of strengthening your relationship with your Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ through prayer, scripture study and most importantly making and keeping sacred covenants, especially those made in the House of the Lord.

She is survived by her husband Clair, her children Michael (Soni) Thueson, Lori (Don) Tingey, Rhonda (Chris) Cornelius, Vicki (Jason) Rammell, Bryce (Laura) Thueson, and Ryan (Julianna) Thueson, sibling Jesse (Debbie) Byram and sister in-law Jane Byram. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Verna Byram, Clair's parents, Ray and Mildred Thueson, son Robert, granddaughter Jessica (Mike and Soni Thueson), grandson Hayden (Vicki and Jason Rammell) and brother George (Jane) Byram.

The family appreciates the dedicated and thoughtful care by hospice, especially Krystal and her family members, who cared for her needs.
