Annetta Poulsen
Rexburg - Annetta Phy Brady Poulsen, 91 of Rexburg , died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Rexburg Nursing Center of natural causes.
She was born February 3, 1918 in Talmage, Utah to Warren A. and Anna Marie Tucker Brady. Growing up in Utah she attended schools in Draper, Fairview and Salt Lake. She was active in drama, journalism and her love - music.
She married Earl Andrew Poulsen on January 2, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple. They moved to Rexburg where she lived most of her life and where she raised her family.
She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Civic activities throughout her life. She served in church music, drama & Relief Society and held leadership positions in Relief Society, Young Womens, Primary and Choir. She was known for her beautiful soprano voice and sang with many musical groups.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed camping & holidays with her family. She and her husband made gingham quilts for each of their children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Edytha) Poulsen of Rexburg, ID; Lynda (Marvin) Struhs of Orofino, ID; Douglas (LaVoun) Poulsen of Rexburg, ID; James (Geanine) Poulsen of Boise, ID; Louise (Randy) Dixon of Shelley, ID; and Ruth (David) Rolfson of Rexburg, ID; 29 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers and 4 sisters, 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rexburg North Stake Center with Bishop Bruce Baxter of the Rexburg 1st Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
