Annette Goodrich Ellsworth left the mortal portion of her eternal life on January 31, 2025. She was staying with one of her daughters in Nibley, Utah at the time of her death.
Annette was born to Orlo and Mabel Gardiner Goodrich on March 18, 1944, in Vernal, Utah. She was the second of their four daughters.
She grew up in Naples, Utah where she had the best of friends and the happiest of times.
She was sealed to Robert (Bob) Blair Ellsworth, January 10, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents Orlo and Mabel Goodrich, a sister Kathleen Calder and a son-in-law, Willard BlueEyes.
She leaves behind 7 daughters and their husbands Vicki and John Wilkins, Laura Ellsworth, Sande and John Lott, Teresa BlueEyes, Valerie and Robert Rumsey, Debi and Michael Brennan, Melanie and Lee Galbraith. She has 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She also leaves behind two sisters and their husbands. Carolyn and Ray Winn, Florence and Ron White, and one brother-in-law, Craig Calder.
She was very involved in Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, being a charter member of Mt. Ogden Camp and holding leadership positions in the Silver Sage Camp.
She was an ordinance worker in the Orlando, Idaho Falls and Rexburg temples. She held many callings in the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints throughout her life.
She served two missions. The first a stake mission soon after she was married, The Unita Ouray Indian Reservation Mission. The second mission, with her husband, The Deseret Cattle and Citrus Ranch in Florida.
She traveled the world. She lived in Kenya for 4 years where her husband Bob, was working on building wells for the Maasai. She visited many countries behind the Iron Curtain as part of a People-to-People program and she lived in Costa Rica for a period of time so that Bob could explore the area that he felt played a significant part in the Book of Mormon geography.
She and Bob sold their home in Plano and moved "into town" (Rexburg). They loved their community at The Homestead and had some great times there. The family thanks them for those wonderful times and making their last years so happy.
Annette's funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 8th at the Park Street LDS Chapel, located at 700 Park St. Rexburg Idaho. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Plano Cemetery.
