Ariann DeGraw Matchett, 33, of Rexburg, Idaho, died Friday, December 31, 2010 of natural causes. She was born December 9, 1977, in Rexburg, Idaho to Richard Eugene and Carol Alice Clark DeGraw.
She attended school in Washington and graduated from high school in Elma, Washington. At the time of her death she was a student at BYU-Idaho where she was working towards a teaching degree in History.
She married Terry Matchett, II, on March 25, 2000, in Aberdeen, Washington. She was the center of and rock in her husband's life.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She enjoyed reading, being outdoors with her dogs, traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends. She loved and collected turtles.
She is survived by her husband, Terry of Rexburg; parents Richard and Carol DeGraw of Ocean Shores, WA; mother-in-law Donna Matchett of Hoquiam, WA; siblings Shauna (Ron) Enboder of Branson, MO, Kurt (Krista) DeGraw of Highlands Ranch, CO, Ryan (Kristen) DeGraw of Rexburg, Richard (Carrie) DeGraw of Rexburg, Joseph (Amy) DeGraw of Mesa, AZ; grandparents Elden Eugene and Rebecca DeGraw of Richland, WA; 11 nephews and 9 nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister Kristina, and her Grandma and Grandpa Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Rexburg South Stake Center, 2041 West 5200 South, with Bishop Kevin Allred of the Lyman 3rd Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
