Obituary

Arlene Emily Little Nickell, 88, of Tetonia, passed away November 21, 2017 in Rexburg, Idaho after many years of struggling with declining health.

She was born in Driggs, Idaho on July 30, 1929 to Lawrence H. and Edith Kimball Little. She grew up on a small farm just north of Driggs and graduated from Teton High School.

She married Stanton Dale Nickell on August 22, 1947 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Since Stanton was in the military, Arlene had the opportunity to live in England, Germany and many cities throughout the United States. Her favorite was Winnemucca, Nevada where she made lifelong friends.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed rug hooking, bird watching, gardening, rock hunting and fishing. She dearly loved children and always had several that she cared for.

She is survived by step-son Marvin Fuell (Sandra), and son Dale Nickell (Shawna) and daughters, Linda Coreson (Clayton) & Patricia Nickell-Zimmerman (David). She was preceded in death by her sons, Terry, Berry and Rick Nickell and her granddaughters, Michelle Coreson, Sarah and Jessica Nickell. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tetonia L.D.S. chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Driggs Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
