Arva Jones Robison, 90, of Rexburg, passed away, Monday, May 1, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 29, 1927, in Rexburg to James and Fernetta Hayes Jones. Arva attended schools in Hibbard and Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School.
While in high school she met Ferris Robison. After graduating she attended Beauty College in Pocatello while she waited for Ferris to return from serving in the military. She married her high school sweetheart on September 4, 1945, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Young Women, Primary and Relief Society organizations.
Arva was a homemaker and a wonderful example to her family and all who knew her. She and Ferris enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and hunting together, and took their family with them everywhere they went. They wintered in Arizona and spent their summers at their cabin in Island Park.
She made her home a gathering place - a home of love, peace, and joy. Everyone felt welcomed and loved. This was her legacy.
She is survived by her children, Marsha (Michael) Kennedy of Rigby, Ralph (Jan) Robison of Rexburg, Judy (Kenny) Clark of Peoria, Arizona, Klint (Valerie) Robison of Rexburg, Pamela (Rodney) Hart of Rexburg; a daughter-in-law, Pauline Robison; siblings, Virgil (Fern) Jones of Idaho Falls, Shirlene (Merl) Withers of Rexburg; 26 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
