Ashleigh Nikkohl Hodge tragically left this world May 4, 2010. She is the daughter of Shayna and Calvin Hodge.
She was born August 31, 1994 in Helena, Montana. Her family moved to Saint Anthony, Idaho when she was 2 years old and has lived most of her life in Saint Anthony.
She attended schools in Saint Anthony and was a student at South Fremont High School at the time of her death. Ashleigh participated in competitive dance with the Rocky Mountain Stars from the age of 6 until she was in the eighth grade. She was a cheerleader for South Fremont High School and also a member of the competitive cheer team Madison Twisterz.
She was a self motivated student who was working to accomplish graduating in three years, by completing online courses as well as the regular curriculum.
Ashleigh loved fashion. She recently participated in the Paul Mitchell Hair Fashion Show. On the day of the accident she had just been a model for the event "Art Rageous", a fund raiser for the Pocatello symphony.
Ashleigh was an active young lady who loved snowboarding, wakeboarding, the outdoors, music, dancing, gymnastics, cheering and being with friends and family. Her Ipod was like a body attachment and her cell was never far away.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to attend girl's camp and other youth activities.
She was active in her family life. She was loved by her family and she was her mother's rock. She was a helpful and responsible young lady, helping any and all in need, especially her siblings who looked up to her and thought the world of her. She was a role model to the younger crowd of girls, leading them by example and teaching them cheer, gymnastics, friendships and morals. She also liked spending time with her special love, Jerry Warner, who she called her "Jear-Bear."
She is survived by her parents, two brothers Jaydan and Cayden Hodge, and one sister Reighan Hodge. Grandparents, Terry and Karolyn Hodge of Saint Anthony; Barbara Koneski of Massachusetts, Great grandparents Roland and Doris Taylor of Rexburg; Shirley Hodge of Burley; an uncle, Cory (Christine)Hodge of Rexburg, an aunt, Shannon McGraw of, Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and her cousins Maddie, Molly, and Sophie Hodge of Rexburg. Also many extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at noon in the St. Anthony Stake Center; 247 East 4th North, St. Anthony. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the funeral from 10:30 to 11:45 at the church. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary. A memorial fund has been established in Ashleigh's name at Key Bank, 30 W. Main Street, St. Anthony.
