Barry D. Roberts, 70 of Teton, ID, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Teton City at home on December 17, 1941 to Marion Davis and Earl Roberts. He grew up in Teton and attended school at South Fremont.

He married Joann A. Nelson, January 26, 1962 in Teton, ID.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, ATV adventures, watching and helping his son Allen when he was racing snowmobiles in the Ice Ovals.

He especially loved doing outdoor things with his son, Allen - his daughter Robin, his wife Joann (she was always by his side).

His life dream came true when he could take that off-shore boat he built to the ocean, which he and his family would continue to do for many years.

He was always pushing the limits, even on the open sea.

He is survived by his wife, Joann A. Nelson Roberts of Teton, ID, a son, Allen K. (Gina) Roberts of Idaho Falls, ID, a daughter, Robin L. Erhardt of Salt Lake City, UT.,his brother, Brent Roberts and his dear 94 years old mother, Marion Davis Roberts. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alexandra "Ali" Roberts, Dustin (Ane) Peterson both of Rexburg, ID, Josh (April) Peterson of Pocatello, ID, Kelli Ann Erhardt and Robert J. Erhardt both of Salt Lake City, UT. and his Great Grandchildren, Brynn Peterson, Sophie Peterson, Michael Peterson and Audrey Lynn Peterson.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Earl Roberts, Grandparents, Albert and Louise Davis and Tom and Eleanore Roberts and a son-in-law Robert Erhardt.

A celebration of life will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.

The family will be meet with friends immediately following the service.
