Bennie Florentino Carlos Jr. born March 14, 1961, in Flagstaff AZ (63y) passed away from renal cancer complications on October 10, 2024, at EIRMC in Idaho Falls. Ben is survived by his wife Linda Weiblen Carlos and six daughters Yavanna Carlos, Christina Carlos, Heather Carlos Ore (h -Jon), Breanna Carlos, Abigail Carlos and Hannah Carlos. Also by his father - Bennie Florentino Carlos and siblings Dennis Carlos (w -Socorro), Jeffery Carlos, Cindy Carlos and Diane Carlos Argomaniz (h -Mike). Pre deceased by mother Doris Alvarez January 8, 2020. He grew up in a family of strong faith in Jesus Christ and continued as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ben and Linda live in St Anthony, Idaho. They moved to Idaho in 2012, from Kingston, NY where they lived with their six daughters for over thirty years. This December would have been their 40th Anniversary. Ben graduated from Yuma High School and later graduated from SUNY Cobleskill in Horticulture. He was a Cornell Cooperative Extension Agent and Master Gardener. He owned a floral shop in Kingston, NY. Once in Idaho he worked at Walmart in Rexburg later teaching Floral Design at BYU-Idaho. He loved raising Chickens, Turkeys, Ducks and Quail and offering their eggs plus Homemade Jams at Farmers Markets in Rexburg and Idaho Falls. Ben was an avid lover of history especially Early American- Revolutionary War Era. He was a revolutionary war reenactor for over 40yrs throughout the East Coast and Utah.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday October 14, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony 4th Ward Chapel, 507 West 2nd North. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. prior to the service.
