Obituary

Beverly Kay Bott, 82, of Clementsville, died December 28, 2015, at her home of natural causes. She was born August 4, 1933, in Anthony, Kansas to James and Lily Cordell Miller.

Beverly lived near Billings, Oklahoma on a family farm until she was nine, when her father was killed by lightening. Her mother, brother Jim and Beverly were devastated by his death. The family moved around to several places until her mother was remarried. The family moved to Wyoming where her step-father worked in the oil fields. Her little brother, Butch, was born into the family. She graduated from high school in Big Piney, Wyoming in 1951.

She met DeMar Bott in the summer of 1951, while she was working at the Linderman Ranch at LaBarge Creek, Wyoming. They were married December 16, 1951, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Clementsville on the Bott farm where DeMar grew up. They lived and worked there for their entire lives. Beverly loved the farm and enjoyed raising her three sons, Terry, Kemp and Mike, there. The boys have many fond memories of their mother.

Beverly was an artist and loved to paint. Her family and friends treasure the paintings she has given them. She was very active in her Sorority Club in her early married years and made many lasting friendships there. She also loved to plant and raise flowers in her garden, which she still enjoyed doing this past summer. She loved all animals and always had dogs, cats, birds and any stray animal that came through her yard. They were part of her family. Her family all joked that if they died first, they wanted to come back as one of her animals! She was very caring and gave to many charitable foundations.

She and DeMar loved to travel, camp, fish and go boating. They made quite a pair and she missed him very much when he died in 2012.

Beverly is survived by her sons Kemp (Kim) Bott of Providence, Utah, Mike (Lesa) Bott of Clementsville; brothers Jim (Verone) Miller of Bayfield, Colorado and Butch (Brenda) Milleson of Farmington, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband DeMar; a son Terry Bott, and a stillborn daughter Debra Kay Bott.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery.
