Obituary

William Brad Bell, 76, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Archer, died Thursday, December 26, 2013, at his home in Lincoln Court from natural causes. He was born December 11, 1937, in Rexburg, Idaho to George Martell and Lilly Lucille Bell. He attended school in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School in 1956.

He was a welder and mechanic, working most of his life in the potato industry, mainly for Basic American Foods. Bill loved building hot rods and his mechanic work.

He married Judy S. Jacobs in 1958, in St. Anthony, Idaho. They had five wonderful children. They later divorced. He then married Mary Lou Davis Westover in 1972. Mary Lou had a son, and she and Bill had a son together, making a total of seven children. They were married for 40 years. They were very happy together. Mary Lou passed away on October 14, 2011.

He was on active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He enjoyed serving in two bishoprics and as a temple officiator for eight years in the Idaho Falls and Rexburg temples. He favorite calling was as a Primary teacher in the Archer Ward. Bill loved working in the temple and attended regularly as his health allowed him. He loved his family and spent his life for them.

He is survived by his children, Danny (Lois) Westover of Las Vegas, Nevada, Trista (Dell) Howell of Auburn, Washington, Tony (Nedra) Bell of Idaho Falls, Michelle (Bryant) Greene of Archer, Cody (Shawn) Bell of Shawano, Wisconsin, Derik Bell of North Dakota, Travis (Nicole) Bell of Ashton; a sister, Shirley Williams of Idaho Falls; 27 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Lou, a brother and two sister, and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, at the Archer LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
