Billie Gayle Whitmore Farnes, 70, of Rigby died Thursday, December 5, 2013 in the comfort of her home after battling an illness.
Billie was born to the late James Albert Whitmore and Reva Grace Whitmore on July 22, 1943 in Ashton, Idaho. She was the 6th born of 9 children. She attended Ashton Elementary and North Fremont High School.
She worked at the Ashton Theatre, the Husky In and Out, and Grandma's Café. She moved to Idaho Falls in 1967 and was a homemaker for many years. She worked a short time at Broulim's Deli. She also worked at Melaluca for 23 years and then retired in 2008.
Some of Billie's hobbies included gardening, painting and crafts. She had many fabulous collections including glass, coins, dolls, movies, and so many more. She loved to going to garage sales. She always kept an eye out for that perfect gift for that perfect person. She was a very giving and thoughtful when it came to her children, grandchildren, and friends.
Billie is survived by her 3 children, Tina Bolinder of Iona, Idaho, Renia Whitmore of Rigby, Idaho and Kurt Kidder of Idaho Falls, Idaho, as well as 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Linda Hansen and Janice Harker and a brother Dale Whitmore.
She is preceded in death by her parents James Albert Whitmore and Reva Grace Whitmore, siblings, June Martindale, Donna McCausey, Merle Whitmore, Alice Rigby, and Jimmy Whitmore.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, in Rexburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
