Blaine Lee White, 92 of Egin, died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
He was born July 28, 1925 in Plano, Idaho to Lee Layman and Matilda Ann Smith White. He spent his childhood on the family farm in Plano where he learned many traits and talents. He was a very hard worker and loved the family life. He was also a great mechanic and could fix almost anything.
He attended school in Plano. He married his soul-mate Maxine Liebert on December 4, 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple. One week later he was sent to Europe to fight in World War II, where he was wounded. When the war ended they made their home in Plano where he continued to farm. They welcomed two daughters and one son. Later the farm was sold and they moved to Egin, Idaho.
Blaine was a member of the LDS Church and held various church callings.
He is survived by daughters, Patty Lee White and Claire Ann (Shayne) Hill; 6 grandchildren, Eric (Heather)White, Nic (Glenda) White, Michelle (Reed) Walker, Jennifer White, Kristy Hill and Jason (Charlsie) Hill; 14 great-grandchildren, Heidi, Ethan, Elise and Erica White; Kaylee, Annalee, Nicson, and Samual White; Taylor and Jade Walker; Brayden and Kinsley White; Tess and Brayden Hill. 1 great-great grandchild on the way. Blaine had many nieces and nephews and grew to depend on Scott and Evalee Liebert. Blaine is also survived by brothers Hiram (Carol) White, Glen (Erlene) White and Arthur White. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Matilda; Wife Maxine; son Brady Blaine White and daughter-in-law Terry Roberts White; sisters, Doris Wheeler, Edna White and Bonnie Jones; brothers Asa White, and Ross White.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Egin Bench LDS Chapel (1633 E. 400 N.) with Bishop LaVar Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery with military rites by the St. Anthony Veterans and Idaho Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
