Obituary

Blanche Marie Grover Kirkham, 88, of Sunnydale passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Rexburg, Idaho, on June 11, 2013. She was born on March 5, 1925 and was the fourth child of John Orr Grover and Elnorah Ann Homer of Archer. She attended school in Archer and graduated from Madison High School.

She married Cleo (Chip) Kirkham on December 27, 1944. They enjoyed farming, raising cattle and working together. Chip passed away on July 27, 1997.

She was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was always grateful for her pioneer ancestors. She served in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening and worked hard her whole life.

She is survived by her children; Carol (Gerald) Hatch of Colonia Juarez, Mexico, Judy Nelson of Rexburg, Nan (Dyle) Erickson of Rigby and Tom (Betty) Kirkham of Rayville, Missouri, daughter-in-law Karen Kirkham Hoskins of Idaho Falls, 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Russell Grover, Wesley Grover, Loren Grover and sister, Ruth Hansen, a daughter Shirley Kirkham, and a great granddaughter Jakarta Clayson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, at the Archer-Sunnydell LDS Chapel with Bishop Matt Taylor officiating. The family will meet with friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, in Rexburg and Monday from 10:00 to10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Sutton Cemetery in Archer.
