IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonnie
Park
August 25, 1953 – November 24, 2023
On August 25, 1953, Bonnie Muir was born to Rulin George Muir and Eloise Powell in Rexburg, Idaho. Bonnie was the sixth child out of eight children. She grew up with her 3 brothers and 5 sisters, Paula Hope, Ferril Muir, Dennis Muir, Sherry Farnsworth, Darla Wilson, Brenda Messenger, and Chris Muir. She grew up in a very happy home surrounded with lots of love and laughter.
On August 1, 1969 Bonnie met the love of her life William (Bill) Park while she was hanging out with her friends. One night Bonnie was involved in a severe car crash that resulted in a brain injury and put her in a coma for 29 days. When she woke up, Bonnie's first concern was where Bill was. She graduated from Madison High School in 1971 and continued to court Bill. They were married June 3, 1972, surrounded by their family and friends.
Bill and Bonnie started their family in 1973 with their first born Rulin. They were sealed together for Time and All Eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on November 24, 1973. They then welcomed Billy in 1974, Don in 1977, and in 1978 they had their angel Bonnie. They loved their wonderful little family more than anything. They enjoyed raising their boys in Rexburg taking many advantages of spending time together outdoors gardening, camping, fishing, hunting and enjoying cookouts at the sand dunes.
Bill and Bonnie continued their wild adventures together, driving hand in hand, traveling millions of miles across the nation. She loved referring to herself as a "Professional Passenger" and as such was able to visit 47 of the continental United States with Bill by her side. In 2007, Bill retired due to an injury and shortly after in July 2008, Bonnie started working at the Rexburg Senior Center. She absolutely adored her job and loved introducing her family to all of her Senior Center friends!! In 2013, they moved to St. Anthony, Idaho, and enjoyed their home immensely, spending lots of time growing and bottling vegetables and working in their yard. Bonnie retired from the Senior Center in 2019 to take care of Bill, and in 2021, they moved into the Homestead Assisted Living together.
On June 3, 2022, Bill and Bonnie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, just 6 weeks before the love of her life passed away on July 15, 2022. Bonnie spent the past year and a half anxiously awaiting the opportunity to join her beloved husband and daughter.
Bonnie Park peacefully passed away November 24, 2023, in Homestead Assisted Living surrounded by her son Don Park and daughter-in-law Katryna Nassar.
Bonnie is survived by: her children Rulin (Sandee) Park of Mesa, AZ, Billy (Shilo) Park of Ammon, ID, Don (Katryna) Park of Rexburg, ID; 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
