Brad Marion Haws, 60 of Idaho Falls, formerly of St. Anthony, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016.
He was born on February 21, 1956 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Glenn Mervin and Marlene Leavitt Haws. He was raised in the Fremont county area. His parents divorced and he spent his summers in California. He attended school in St. Anthony.
He joined the National Guard. He married Hannah Hopkins in Wolfpoint, Montana on November 21, 1981. She was his one and only true love. They later divorced.
Brad lived in Montana and worked as a cook and truck driver. He moved to California where he helped his sister Bretta run a chain of Motel 6. He soon came back to Idaho and worked in the potatoes driving truck and then started going over the road as a long haul driver which he did until becoming disabled.
Brad is survived by his sisters, Karalee (Simeon) Sanchez, and Dawna (Roberto) Morillan; 3 brothers, Darius Wayne Haws, Charlie Dearborn, and Charles Joseph (Amiee) Haws; Nieces and nephews, Jessica, Jose, Paige, Marisela, Fabian, Ashley, Brooke, Brayden and Takoda and 2 great nieces, Mariah and Tatyiana. Brad also left his cat Jazz who is lovingly cared for by his step-mother Velma Haws. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Bretta and Brenda Haws and his ex-wife Hannah Hopkins Haws.
There will be a Memorial Graveside Service on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford Cemetery. Arrangements are through Bert Flamm Mortuary.
