Bradley Jay Fransen, 75, of Rexburg, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born August 3, 1942, in Rexburg, Idaho to George C. and Ellis "Ellie" Richards Fransen. He grew up and attended school in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School. He attended Ricks College and then went on to graduate from Barber College in Salt Lake City, Utah. This was to be a lifetime profession but ended after the flood in 1976. He then worked for Taylor Chevrolet for several years until he opened B.J.'s Auto Sales car lot. He later sold this business and started Fransen Homes with his son Blake. He spent retirement taking care of their home and yard.
On May 29, 1965 he married Beverly Hilton and in 1967 they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with two children, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. He loved his family, grandchildren and his many good friends. He enjoyed taking trips near and far collecting cars - those you drive and small ones on a shelf. He was well known for his sense of humor.
Brad is survived by his wife, Beverly of 53 years; son, Blake (Shelley) Fransen of Billings, Montana; daughter, Kasie (Greg) Cook of Rexburg; grandchildren, Mitch (Justine) Fransen of Idaho Falls, Brandi (Kris) Benton of Twin Falls, Alexandra Cook and Kamryn Cook of Rexburg; great grandchildren, Allison, Scarlett and Brooklyn of Idaho Falls; sister, Kathleen (Deb) Sorenson of Iona; Haruko (Larry) Fransen of Salt Lake City and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ellis "Ellie" Fransen, brothers; Sharon (infant), Kent and Larry.
The family wishes to give thanks for the kind and loving care given to Brad and Beverly by the staff at the Homestead Assisted Living and Homestead Home Health and Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
