Brent worked for the United States Forest Service as an assistant civil engineer, surveyor and fire fighter retiring from the service after 35 years. Brent was also a partner with his brother Barry in Roberts Trucking and later with Custom Seed Cleaning.
Brent loved snowmobiling, and supporting his nephew, Allen, in snowmobile racing for many years, playing the role of assistant mechanic and financier.
Fishing and Hunting were life long passions. Brent and his brother, Barry, made many deep sea fishing trips along the North Western Coast of the United States and Canada in a large cabin cruiser boat that they built themselves.
Brent was also known to be an expert marksman and was usually the first one to bag his limit during the annual "Sage Hen 500" hunt each year. The annual hunting trips were something that he looked forward to each year because they always brought together family and friends.
