Brian Walter Loseke died peacefully May 1, 2018 after a years-long battle with Cancer at his home in Saint Anthony, Idaho.
Brian was the son of Alvin Eilert Loseke and Eunice (Bode) Loseke, born January 12 th , 1954, in Burns, Oregon. Brian graduated from Borah High School in Boise before graduating from Boise State University in 1978 with a Bachelor's of Art in History. From 1979-1980, Brian attended Seminary in Fort Wayne Indiana, before leaving to care for his ailing ex-wife. After completing the Idaho State Police Academy in 1986, Brian spent his entire career spanning 30 years, with the Fremont County Sherriff's Department. He ascended from Jailer to Road Deputy, and attained the rank of Sargent with Fremont County. During his last years with the Department, Brian was responsible for water patrols on Henry's Lake, Island Park, and Ashton Reservoirs in the summer.
Brian is survived by his two sons, Joshua Loseke of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jakob Loseke (Wife Stella, Granddaughter Vanessa and Grandson Andrew) of Reno, Nevada. Brian enjoyed spending time with his sons, fishing on Henry's Lake and riding dune buggies.
Brian was a volunteer member of the Fremont County Fire Department and Fremont County Search and Rescue.
A celebration of life for Brian is planned for the summer on Henry's Lake.
