Bruce E Forbush passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, July 13, 2018 after a long struggle with multiple health problems as a result of Type 1 Diabetes. He was born July 15, 1952, in Rexburg, Idaho. He was the second of seven children of Bill and Loretta Forbush and grew up in Parker, Idaho.

Bruce was sealed to Holly Stone in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 5, 1977. They had five children: Emily (Kurtis) Crapo, Brigham (Jenna) Forbush, Lauralee (Michael) Flores, Kimberly (Dratin) Lamb, Bill (Kim) Forbush. They raised their family in Sugar City. His family was his pride and joy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Holly, their children and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Brigham Forbush; his granddaughter Eva, and his sister Brenda Weber.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many church callings throughout his life. Some of his favorite callings were as a missionary in the Kansas Missouri mission, a sunbeam teacher, a scout leader, and an ordinance worker in the Rexburg Idaho Temple.

He worked for Ricks College/BYU-Idaho for 32 years where he loved working with the students and made many great friends. He enjoyed working in his yard and wood shop, doing service and then fading into the background, riding his 4-wheeler, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, at the Sugar City Gray Church, 6 Teton Ave. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Monday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Sugar City Gray Church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.

His family would like to express appreciation to the many wonderful extended family members, friends, neighbors, and healthcare providers who have served and cared for him throughout the years.
