Obituary

Bryant Bush, 77 of Idaho Falls, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

He was born April 3, 1939 in Rexburg, Idaho, the last child born to Charles Melvin and Dora Mae Johnson Bush.

He received his education in Rexburg schools graduating from Madison High School and Ricks College. He also attended one semester at BYU. He joined the US Army Reserves, along with his twin brother Byron, in 1958 and was discharged in 1964. He then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central States Mission.

He Married Gayle White on July 30, 1966 in the Los Angeles Temple. They lived for a time in Mar Vista, CA and then moved to Idaho Falls where they have continued to live. They just celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Bryant worked in sales and then in security at the INEL and the Grand Teton Mall. Always physically active he worked on the ski patrol at Taylor Mountain, Targhee and for many years at Kelly Canyon.
He was always active in the LDS Church where he served in many callings but he especially enjoyed serving as an officiator in the Idaho Falls Temple.

He is survived by his wife Gay Bush of Idaho Falls, ID; children, Bryant M. (Penney) Bush of Magna, UT; Kimberly Dawn (Kim) Robinson of Orem, UT; C. Lynn Wild of Idaho Falls, ID; Diana Gayle (Mark) Kindler of Idaho Falls, ID; Joseph Charles (Andrea) Bush of Taylorsville, UT; Rex Andrew (Jen) Bush of Rigby, ID; Daniel Shane (April) Bush of Idaho Falls, ID; 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 3700 East Lincoln Road with Bishop Wesley Frey of the Lincoln 3rd Ward officiating. The Family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. both times at the Chapel (3700 E. Lincoln Rd.) Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery with military rites from the Bonneville Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
