Buck Lavar Mace was born July 18, 1953, to Don and Norma Mace. He grew up in St. Anthony and attended school at South Fremont. He worked for many different places in St. Anthony. His favorite kind of work was plowing for different companies around St. Anthony. Buck started working for Yellowstone National Park in 1988. He helped with the fires. He was in the military from 1971-1974. He was discharged honorably in 1977. He moved to Montana with his family and married Linda Milner on June 12, 1992. He retired in 2013 and moved to Rexburg, Idaho. Buck loved his kids and grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Leland.
He is survived by his wife Linda Mace, as well as his kids: Kristina Allen, Van Garrick, Daphney Ossmen, and Branson Mace. He is also survived by his grandkids: Pheobe Garrick, Ben Garrick, Donny Garrick, Riddick Mace, Tripp Ossmen, Chloe Ossmen, Ronin Ossmen, and Jethro Ossmen. His siblings: Terri Moon, Gene Mace, Quin Mace, and Scott Mace.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on December 30, 2022, at Flamm Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
