Obituary

Byron Bush, 72, of Idaho Falls, died Monday, February 13, 2011. He was born April 3, 1939, in Rexburg, Idaho to Charles Melvin and Dora Mae Johnson Bush. He grew up in Rexburg, Idaho and graduated from Madison High School and Ricks College. He attended Brigham Young University. He served in the United States Army Reserve from 1957 to 1964.
He had a long career as a safety engineer at nuclear and oil refinery facilities throughout the United States and internationally.
He served an LDS mission in Dallas, TX and two missions in Hawaii. He was a High Priest in the LDS church.
Byron enjoyed fishing, hiking and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his son, Daymon Findlay (Keshia) Bush of Idaho Fall; daughter, Monica (Richard) Zimmerman of Iona; brother Bryant (Gay) Bush; sister, Mary (Rex) Brown; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lincoln 3rd LDS Ward Chapel (2545 Mesa Street) with Bishop Willard Berry officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 12:00 noon until 12:45 p.m. both at the Church. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
