Carla Coon Jones, 64 of Driggs, passed away at her home surrounded by family, on Monday, September 17, 2018.

She was born April 10, 1954 to Theron Earl and Anna Blood Coon, in Hunter, Utah. She was raised in Hunter and after her dad bought a ranch in Southern, Utah Carla and her family spent many holidays and summers at the ranch.

She was at a 24th of July rodeo in Marysvale, Utah with her cousin Bryan when she met her future husband Greer. They were married on February 6, 1975 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived for 24 years in Mesa, Arizona before moving to Driggs.

Carla was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them. She also enjoyed the outdoors and spent many happy times, camping, hunting, and fishing with her family.

She is survived by her husband Greer; Children, Cameron (Gina) Jones, Brenden (Meg) Jones, Valerie (Justin) John, Ryan (Kali) Jones and Shanna (Tucker) Egbert; Her step-mom, Laurie Coon; siblings, JoAnne (Lee) Robinson, Sheron (Blair) Bradshaw and Kelly (Cindy) Coon; 14 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, a nephew and a niece.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Driggs LDS Stake Center (221 North 1st East, Driggs, ID.) The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. both times at the church. Burial will be in the Bates Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
