Carol Fay Wilding Orme passed away peacefully with her family at her side on June 18, 2018 at the age of 91. She was born February 5, 1927 in Rexburg Idaho the daughter of Frank Oldham Wilding and Alice Jennette Knight. She spent her life in Eastern Idaho, in the Teton Valley, Sugar City, Egin and in St. Anthony.
She graduated from Sugar Salem High School and then served a mission for the LDS Church in the North Central States where she met Robert Dean Orme, whom she married shortly after he returned. They were married on December 27, 1950 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Carol and Bob raised their family on a farm in Egin Idaho. Julee (Barry) Cook – Price Utah, Val (Nancy) Orme – Rigby Idaho, Karen (Bryan) Ostermiller – Fruit Heights Utah, Todd (Jennie) Orme – Smithfield Utah, Fay Orme – Stillborn. She has 15 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren who adore her.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved her family, and her Heavenly Father. She spent her life serving others and often had guests in her home, including many General Authorities who were visiting for Stake Conferences while Bob was serving as Stake President for many years. She served many times in the Relief Society, Sunday School and in the Primary in the LDS church. She was frequently the hostess for family gatherings and celebrations.
She was a talented artist, and gave away many of her paintings to family and friends. She was a great cook and her raisin pie was an anticipated addition to the annual Pioneer Day baked goods sale. She also sang for many years with the Melodaires. She had a wonderful sense of humor and spread light and joy wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother, her husband Robert, and her daughters Julee and Fay.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony Stake Center, 247 East 4th North, St. Anthony, Idaho. Friends may visit with the family Friday evening from 6:30-8:00p.m.or Saturday morning 10:00-10:45 a.m. both times at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
