Carol Ann Owens, 79 of St. Anthony, died on November 23, 2023 at home surrounded by family.
Carol was born February 10, 1944 in Salt lake City, Utah to Samuel Morgan John and Vina Alvria Clark. She was the oldest of 10 children. Carol grew up in the Pocatello / Inkom area.
In 1961 Carol married Ronald Smout. In June 1962 they Welcomed their first little girl Vina LaRae. In November 1963 they welcomed a baby boy Loy Morgan. Carol and Ronald moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where in June 1965 they had Denna Annette. Carol and Ronald separated for a bit, got back together and in August 1968 they had Liza Jo. Carol and Ronold later divorced. Carol then met a Navy officer by the name Stanley Keach and they were married in 1975. In June 1976 they welcomed Kathryn Lousie. At the end of 1976 the Navy moved the family to Virginia Beach, VA where in June of 1977 Barbra Jewell was born. In 1978 Carol and Stanley moved back to Idaho Falls, ID. They were later divorced. Carol met Robert Owens in the 80's. They got married and a short while later were Divorced.
Carol had various jobs over the years working mostly as a waitress.
Carol leaves behind her loving family, daughter V. LaRae Palmer of St. Anthony, ID; son Loy Smout of Hinton IA; daughter Liza (Doug) Ball Idaho Falls, ID; daughter Kathryn Keach of Lakewood, CO; daughter Barbra Keach St. Anthony, ID; Her siblings, Iris (Stew) McCall of Canada; Becky (Vern) Morris of Tooele, UT; Shirley John of Kimberly, ID; MaryAnne John of Mountain Home, ID; Kari (Jay) Magnuson of Wheatland, WY; Ada Smith of Mountain Home, ID; William aka Rusty John of Mountain Home, ID; Julie (Rick)Thatcher Lakeland, FL; Several nieces and nephews, 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren with 1 on the way and 2 great great grandchildren. Carol was greeted at Heavens gate by her father Samuel Morgan, mother Vina Alvira, stepmother Ruby May, sisters Koe Misnick and Edith Hecomovich, and great grandson Jamison Gerald.
Memorial services will be Monday, November 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services.
