Our loving wife, mother and grandmother, Carol Dee Riley Robertson, 80 of Rexburg, passed away, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Rexburg Care and Rehabilitation. She was born August 4, 1932 to Jesse Max and Clara Louise Brown Riley in Rigby, Idaho.
Growing up she attended schools in Rigby, Idaho except for the second grade which she attended in Glendale, California.
She married Keith Robertson on June 28, 1950 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving in the Primary, MIA, Sunday School, Relief Society Presidency, Library and as a Visiting Teacher.
She loved homemaking, sewing and cooking for her family. She taught her two girls how to sew. She also enjoyed entertaining others and helping her children. They enjoyed traveling and took their children to Disneyland and the San Diego Zoo, which was a challenge with the farming and cattle that needed tending. She raised a beautiful garden and canned all that was harvested. She was glad to be self reliant. She sang with the Choral Tones for a numbers years.
She loved decorating and was the proud the proprietor of Robertson Custom Drapes for over 22 years.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Robertson, her children, Peggy "Anne" Miller of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Max Lynn Robertson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Suzanne (Myron) Baker of Menan, Idaho, as well as 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Larry (Joyce) Riley of Rigby, Idaho, a sister, Sharon Piche of Rigby, Idaho and a brother, Jess (Coe) Riley of Palm Desert, California.
She is preceded in death by a her parents, a son, Garth Keith Robertson, 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26 at the Plano LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Interment will be in the Plano Cemetery. The family would like to thank Rexburg Care and Rehab and Encompass for their kind care.
