Carole was born on August 16, 1941, in Englewood, New Jersey to James Hoey and Violet Bergmann Hoey. She was the older sister to Nancy. Carole attended Cliffside Park High School and Trinity Episcopal Church where she met Eugene (Gene) H. Weiblen, Jr. They married in 1960 and had three children - Michael, Linda, and Suzy. She and Gene moved many places while married - Maryland, Hawaii, Iran - and divorced in 1973.
Carole moved back to Maryland, attended the University of Maryland and became an administrative assistant. In 1980, she and her business partner purchased a farm in Stanley, Virginia with plans to renovate it into a bed and breakfast. Two years later Carole sold her portion of the farm and moved to Shenandoah, Virginia until 1986, when she moved back to New Jersey. She then worked as an executive assistant in Manhattan until 2002 when she decided to retire after witnessing the Twin Towers fall on September 11, 2001.
Carole cared for her mother until her passing in 2007, then moved to Ashburn, Virginia to live near her daughter, Suzy. In 2015, she moved to St. Anthony to be near her daughter, Linda, and her family. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and moved to the Homestead on December 11, 2025.
Carole was a student of spirituality, always studying for personal growth and to contribute to the greater good. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed traveling. She visited the great pyramids in Egypt and the green pastures of Ireland. She especially enjoyed the mountains, from the Catskills and Blue Ridge, to the Rockies and Grand Tetons, she delighted in their beauty.
