Obituary

Carole Sue Flamm West was born on December 22, 1938 in Rexburg, Idaho to Edwin Clifford and Jessie Maurine Smith Flamm. She was the oldest of seven children.

She was raised in Rexburg, Idaho, graduating from Madison High in 1955. She also went to Ricks College and Brigham Young University, where she met her sweetheart, Lowell S. West. They were married September 1, 1961 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple.

Carole had many talents and shared them well. She loved to do quilts, crochet, knit, embroidery, garden and boutiques. She was a member of The Daughters of Utah Pioneers

She is survived by her husband Lowell of 55 years and her children; David L. West, Steven L. (Julie) West, Janeil West, Brian C. (Sally) West, Deon (Brendon) Kirkwood; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Linda (John L.) Drake, Jill Flamm and Rita (Randy) Harris and 2 brothers Garth (Linda) Flamm and Bert (Terrie) Flamm and a brother-in-law William C. Baxter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Ellen, a niece and a great niece.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 6 to 8pm at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard in Ogden, Utah and on Tuesday, November 22nd from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the West Weber Chapel, 4100 W. 900 S., prior to funeral services at 11 a.m.
