Obituary

Chad Clifton Nanney, 52, of Sugar City, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at his home from health complications. He was born January 29, 1964 in Saint Anthony, Idaho to Darrell Ray and Vendla Rae Cummings Nanney.

He grew up in the Wilford area and graduated from South Fremont High School. He later graduated with a Bachelors Degree from BYUI.

He served his country in the US Navy.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. He also enjoyed working with the Young Men's programs in the church.

He married Cheryle Estrella in March of 1992 in the Saint George LDS Temple. They have two boys that Chad adored and enjoyed sharing time with.

His hobbies included hunting and trapping. He was a great story teller and people enjoyed listening to his stories. Chad loved his family with all his heart and considers them his greatest accomplishment.

He is survived by his wife Cheryle Nanney, and his boys, Clifton and Christopher Nanney all of Sugar City, Idaho. He is also survived by his brothers, Val (Mandi) Nanney of West Jordan, Utah, and Jill (Leon) Hatfield of Star, Idaho and a brother-in-law, Sid Stohl of Saint George, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21st at the Sugar City 2nd Ward Chapel, 6 North Teton Ave, Sugar City. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery, with Military Rites.
