Cheryl Ann Whiting, 56, of Rexburg, passed away on June 29, 2016, at her home of natural causes. She was born October 9, 1959 to Beryl Elizabeth (Halse) and James Gary Whiting in Whittier, California.

Cheryl loved bears, especially Pooh Bear. One of her happy memories was living her dream of singing with Barry Manilow at a concert in 1985.

Cheryl was proud to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippine's Baguio mission. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and she was a gracious great-aunt and was always kind to every child she saw.

Cheryl is survived by her brothers; James Gary Whiting, Jr. , Richard Milton (Beverly) Whiting, and John Leslie (Nannette) Whiting and her cherished nieces, nephews and, as she called them, her "great"-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Heather.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
