With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mom Christie Mae Ball on October 12, 2026.
Mom was born May 7, 1962 in Rexburg Idaho to Norman and Thelma Kington. She graduated from Madison High School 1980. She met Marvin Ball on a blind date and was married November 16, 1984. They lived for many years on the farm in Hibbard. She loved the peace and solitude from living in the county. Mom was a great example of hard work.
She worked at Artco for over 40 years off and on where she made many life long friendships and loved hearing about the gossip! She liked to share her personal experiences with the Teton Dam having lived through that disaster. Mom loved to go camping to various places and ride four wheelers up in the mountains as a family.
Mom had numerous hardships in her life including losing both her parents and husband at a young age. Mom treasured being Granny to her 3 grandchildren. She made many trips to Utah to visit and spend time with them. She enjoyed going to state and county fairs to indulge in the classic fair food and see the animals.
Mom delighted in doing temple work and even worked as a temple worker for a few years at the Rexburg Idaho Temple. She moved to the big city of Sugar City and lived there the last 9 years of her life. She will be greatly missed.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Norman and Thelma Kington, husband Marvin Ball, brother Donald Kington , 2 brother in laws Gerald and Max Ball and sister in law Carolyn Ball.
Mom is survived by her children Matthew Ball and Annie (Brian) Bair, Granny to Lola, Grant, and Ellie, sister Denice (Steve) Brown, sister in laws Joy Ball, Carol (skip) Blair, Lucien Wind, and many nieces and nephews.
