Ciera Joan “CJ” Palmer Coleman was born February 15, 1986, to Rocky and Trixie Palmer in Rexburg, Idaho. She joined two brothers and two sisters, Denton, Krista, Rial, and Kayla. She passed away January 27, 2026, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Rockland, Idaho.
Ciera grew up in Teton, Idaho. She attended Teton Elementary and graduated from South Fremont High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Ciera married William “Billy” Ellis in September of 2007. To this union three children were born, Creeden, TaAvery, and Tashlynn. They were later divorced. In December of 2016, Ceira married David Coleman. They have one daughter, Kinley.
Ciera loved fiercely and fought fiercely. She loved life, her family and friends. She had a love for crafts and holidays. Ciera worked at Broulim’s in Driggs, Go-See-Go in Teton, and Bingham Co-op in American Falls.
She is survived by her husband, David Coleman and her children, Creeden, TaAvery, Tashlynn, Kinley, and a step-daughter Kendryk; her father, Rocky Palmer of Teton; siblings, Krista (Samuel) Hill of Challis, Rial (Teresa) Palmer of Lewistown, Montana, and Kayla (Brandon) Wilding of Springfield, Tennessee. As well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Trixie; brother, Denton; and her grandparents.
The family would like to thank the Bingham Co-op in American Falls for all the help and support they have given.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, at the Teton LDS Chapel, 44 West Main Street, Teton, Idaho, 83451. The family will receive friends that morning from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery.
