Obituary

Cynthia Louise Choate was born August 8, 1968, in Pendleton Oregon, to Francis Jacob Mielke and Lorelei Irwin. She passed away quietly on February 24, 2020, at her home in Egin Bench, Idaho.
Her father was not a part of her life and her mother passed away when Cindy was five years old. After that she lived with various relatives before being sent to an orphanage at about nine years of age. During these years she lived mainly in Arkansas. At 16 years old she had an opportunity to leave the orphanage and marry a man much older than she was. He provided well for Cindy and this marriage lasted for over twenty years, until his death. She married and divorced twice more but didn't find her true love until meeting Randy Walton in 2015. Together they moved from Oklahoma to Egin Bench, Idaho, in April of 2019.
Cindy was a gifted cook and hostess, she loved sewing and crafts, and though she had no schooling after the Third grade, she had a love of learning and a talent for writing. Cindy had a deep love of the scriptures and for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was generous in sharing any blessings she had been given.
Thoughts from Randy: "Cindy loved all animals. Before moving to Idaho she had two donkeys, 15 laying hens, a pet rooster which followed her everywhere, two ducks, two potbellied pigs, one goat, two parrots, eight Guinea pigs, and three dogs. She was always bringing something into the barnyard. She once drove 200 miles to rescue a goat. Cindy enjoyed collecting frogs and had more of them than she could count. She loved to go fishing. She had a great memory and could remember anything. She loved music and always had a radio on and liked to sing along to it and could easily memorize songs after hearing them one or 2 times."
Although Cindy had many terrible experiences and too much disappointment in her life, she had many dear and cherished friends, including: Robert Vandommelen, Cindy and Joe Laws, Phillip Findlay, Cindy Roberson, Connie (?) of Kaw City, Oklahoma, Harvey and Harriet Willford, Scott and Evalee Liebert, Joan Haeberle, Len and Johanna Humphries.
Because of injuries to her body and mind which remained with her all her life, she had severe limits on what she could do on this earth. Now she is free to be all she wanted to be.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 11am at the Egin Bench Ward building Relief Society room, with a luncheon to follow. The address is: 1633 East 400 North, St. Anthony Idaho 83445.
