Clifford Glenn Vanderlinden, 81, Rexburg, Idaho, died Friday, March 4th, at Homestead Assisted Living, Rexburg, Idaho

Clifford "Lindy" was born in Ada, Minnesota on July 14th, 1940 to Clifford Sr. and Bernice (Schroeder). He attended special needs school in Minnesota until high school.

Clifford married his best friend Phyllis (Ihrke) in Minnesota on July 3rd, 1987. They later moved to Salem, Idaho in 1991. They loved bargain hunting and sitting out in front of the house together. Lindy worked in different agricultural jobs including High Country Potato. He volunteered for 15+ years at the Rexburg Senior Center and received certificates of service awards.

Lindy was raised and influenced by many religious loved one's who helped foster his love for God. He continued his belief in God throughout his life. He loved all animals and took care of strays all his life. His hobbies included collecting bald eagle figurines, spool knitting, listening to his radio and eating sweets. He was a giver and enjoyed giving small gifts to others, especially his great grandchildren.

He is survived by his siblings: 4 brothers Clayton "Larry" (Laurie) of Glen Ellin, ND. Claire "Sonny" of Kennewick, WA Curtis (Connie) of Elk River, MN. and Craig "Bub" (Lana) of Ada, MN. one sister, Carole "Susie" (Douglas) Munson of Gary. MN.

He was known as Grandpa to 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Flamm Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
