Obituary

Colleen Parkinson Denton, 64, of Boise, formerly of Rexburg, passed away from this life on Friday, July 9. She was born December 25, 1945 in Rexburg, Idaho to Edward H. and Grace Lavina Larsen Parkinson. She was raised in Rexburg and attended Madison High School.

She married James Robert Denton on July 26, 1962 and they had three children.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was a wonderful mother and always had a smile for everyone. She was diagnosed with MS at an early age. She endured her health trials well and was an inspiration to others who also struggled with MS. She became involved with Alcoholics Anonymous and was able to touch many lives through her involvement.

She is survived by her children Connie (Michael), Linda, and Steve; siblings Garry (Mary Jean) Parkinson, Bonnie Rice, Beth (Tom) Washburn; grandchildren Jeremy, Zachorie, Sara, Monette, Tylor, Eli, and M'Kayla Wehster; great-grandchildren Braiden, Trinity, TahJa, Kylie, Jorden, Caeleb, Bailie and Zayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Charlotte and Carma and a brother Donald.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 13, at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 N. 1st East in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. both times at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
