Colleen Bauer Gould, 88 of Teton, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at home with her daughters by her side. Her parents were Henry L. and Mary Florence Birch Bauer. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra and Joslyn. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vern Albert Gould.
At her request there will not be any services held.
Colleen Bauer Gould, age 88, passed over on July 12, 2018. She was at home, cared for by her two daughters. She passed one day after the four-year anniversary of her husband, Vern's death (July 11th, 2014).
Colleen was born August 20th, 1929, in Wilford, ID to Henry Bauer and Florence Birch Bauer. She grew up on the family farm and attended school at South Fremont High, where she graduated in 1947. She lived most of her life within a couple miles of her ancestral farms, the Bauer's and the Birch's. Colleen spent two years in the early 1950's living in San Diego, CA, and two summers working in West Yellowstone.
Vern and Colleen spent their married years farming and raising their family, in Teton, ID. They enjoyed fishing, camping, riding snowmobiles and gardening. Once their daughters left home, they would often visit them and their grandchildren in the Wood River Valley. Colleen had a passion for gardening, bird watching, rock collecting and animals. She loved the outdoors and found her connection to the divine in nature. Colleen created a back-yard Shangri-La, where she enjoyed feeding the birds and sharing it with her friends and family.
Colleen Gould in survived by her two daughters, Sandra Bazovsky of Hailey, ID and Joslyn Gould, Bellevue, ID, her two grandchildren, Cortney Gillett (his wife, Ythzel), Hailey, ID, Karlie Sadorus, Bellevue, ID, and one great grandchild, Blade Sadorus, Bellevue, ID. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Karen Coppinger, Pendleton, OR and Annette Olsen, Teton, ID. She was precluded in death by her Parents, two brothers, one sister and daughter, Kara Jo.
Colleen will be remembered for her grace, quick wit, style and generosity. As per her request, there will be no formal funeral service.
God speed, mom! We will miss you.
