Colleen White Johnson, 84 of Teton, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Heritage Homes in Rexburg.
She was born November 5, 1927 at Teton City, Idaho to Ila L. Clark and James Harold White. She married David Blackburn Johnson at Teton on September 9,1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. He died August 14, 2003.
Colleen graduated from Ricks College. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she and her husband were temple ordinance workers at the Idaho Falls temple for many years. She worked several years at the Rexburg Medical Center in the medical insurance department. She was a seamstress and taught sewing lessons for many years. She loved to sing and play the piano.
She is survived by a son John K. (Leslie) Johnson of Rexburg, two sisters; Belva Emery of Salt Lake City, Utah and Teddie Lou White of Idaho Falls. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, a son Kevin T. Johnson and a daughter-in-law Debbie R. Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Teton LDS Church with Bishop Craig Carter officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale cemetery.
