August 8, 1985 – July 6, 2021
Craig passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the age of 35 after a long battle with cancer. Craig is the fourth son of Gary and Ellen Leavitt of Twin Falls, Idaho.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Rebecca (Hansen), and three adorable children, Madelyn (age 9), Michael (age 6), and Chloe (age 2).
Craig will forever be remembered for his kind heart, loving embrace, and contagious laugh. He had gifts of faith, serving and caring for others, making friends and family smile, and lighting up the room.
Craig grew up in Twin Falls loving all kinds of family activities, including trips to the Oregon Coast, Yellowstone National Park, and many other family-favorite vacation spots. He also enjoyed sports, especially baseball, where he played on several traveling all-star teams as a youth.
As a high school athlete, he enjoyed running on the Twin Falls High School Track team where he qualified for All-District and All-State and earned his varsity letter. After graduating from high school, he served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tempe, Arizona.
He later attended BYU-Idaho where he fell in love with his beautiful wife, and they were married for time and all eternity in the Rexburg, Idaho temple in July 2009.
After completing a B.S. in Business Finance, he pursued a career in banking where he became a team manager with Mountain America Credit Union in Rexburg.
Craig's real love was for his family. He adored Rebecca and their three wonderful children. They were always special in his life. He centered his home on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Surviving Craig are his parents, Gary and Ellen, brothers, Shawn Eric and Melinda (Benson) of Portland, OR, Mark Andrew and Jenna (Senior) of Hillsboro, OR, Scott Ryan and Megan (Edwards) of Hillsboro, OR, and sister Krisann (Leavitt) and Nicholas Durrant of North Ogden, UT.
A public viewing will be held Monday, July 12, from 5:30-7:00pm, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 13 at 11:00am in the Rexburg Idaho Stake Center, 845 West 7th South.
