Obituary

Cynthia Chloe Kent Thompson, 67, of Rexburg, ID, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Rexburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 15, 1944 in Jackson, Wyoming to Raymond and Gladys Kent.

She grew up in Kelly, Wyoming, and graduated from Jackson High School, where she participated in cheerleading, drama and choir. She later attended Ricks College in Rexburg, ID, where she met her husband, Robert Thompson of Alberta, Canada. They were married at Mormon Row, "Grovant" , WY. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple. Three children were born to this union.

They lived in Southern Alberta and Southeastern Idaho during her married life. She worked in many capacities throughout her life.

She especially enjoyed singing with her husband, writing poetry, sports of all kinds and dancing.

She is survived by her children, Scott (Doreen) Thompson, of Ontario, OR, Anita (Corey) Knapp or Rexburg, ID, and Amber (Blake) Bauer of St. Anthony, ID as well as her nine grandchildren, Shawnee, Cameron, Shanté, Burke, Cole, Justin, Conrad, Bryce and Zachary. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; Alexa, Alea, Daniel and Ollie May. She is also survived two sisters, Joanne Parsons and Dawn Kent (Ron Daveler) both of Kelly, WY.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, and two grandsons, Hadley Bauer and Kyle Thompson.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5th at the Chresthaven LDS Chapel, 1070 S 2nd E, Rexburg, ID. The family will receive friends, prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
