Dale was born in Ashton, Idaho to Goldie & Alford Zitting. He grew up on the family farm in Greentimber. He graduated from North Fremont High School in 1949.
After high school Dale joined the Army and was sent to Korea. After that he was based in Dillingen, Germany where he met his wife Anna Deimling. They married in Germany December 1, 1953 and celebrated their 70th anniversary last December.
They had one daughter Pamela Ann, and when she was 1 ½ years old they moved from Pocatello to Denver, where Dale worked for Martin Marietta on the Titan 1 Missile project. After that Dale worked for Honeywell in service & sales management until his retirement in 1989.
Dale enjoyed 35 years of retirement spent in Rexburg, Idaho where he became an avid golfer.
Dale is survived by his wife Ann, daughter Pamela Addison of Fort Bragg, CA, granddaughter Gabrielle Suzanne Addison and great grandson Clyde Addison of Fort Bragg, CA. His brother Roy Zitting, Fairfax, CA.
He is preceded by his parents Alford & Goldie Zitting, sister Audrey Petersen and his brother Reed Zitting.
